Congratulations to the cast of CTO’s HEROES OF OLYMPUS! We are so excited
about the show and about what each of you will bring to the stage this year. We had an
unprecedented number of very talented youth audition for our show and you have all
blown us away!
A special note to those of you who were not cast or cannot join us this year … with so
many auditioning for our show and cast limits imposed by our rehearsal and theatre
venues, we were unfortunately unable to cast everyone who auditioned. Please know
that not being cast in the show does not mean that we didn’t want you or that you
aren’t talented! Achieving a cast balance in an ensemble show like this one means
that things like height, age, and grade determine casting more than many other factors.
We also know that many of you are unable to participate because of conflicts. With
large numbers and little rehearsal time, rehearsal availability is crucial, so we appreciate
you letting us know if this commitment was not possible for you this year. We would
encourage all of you who are interested in participating in future CTO productions to
keep using your talents and to definitely audition next year! We will be cheering you
on!!
For those of you who have been cast, your commitment to the show is essential.
Having any cast members absent during our rehearsals makes it difficult for the whole
company to progress and master the material to produce the quality shows that CTO is
known for. If for any reason you do not think you will be able to fully participate in
rehearsals and in the show as required, including frequent late arrivals and absences,
please let us know right away so that we can adjust the casting.
We are so grateful for all of you who auditioned and all of you parents who are willing to
jump in and make this show great! We will have a MANDATORY PARENT MEETING
on February 19 th at 8pm via Zoom to discuss logistics, solidify volunteers, and get
things ready for rehearsals to begin. You will receive info on how to join the meeting in
the next few days. The first rehearsal will be held on March 4 th at Key Project, the same
location where auditions were held, and the March rehearsal schedule will be released
shortly after our parent meeting. In addition, we will send out a plot summary of the
show this weekend.
We are looking forward to another great CTO season!
